PVC
Polyvinyl Chloride is the most versatile of all plastic resins because of its blending capability with plasticizers, stabilizers, and other additives. This raw material has remarkable uses, from heavy pressure type pipes to thin, crystal clear food packaging; and from house siding to surgical gloves. Extrusion is the major process for production. PVC's versatility and good balance of properties lends itself to application in different markets particularly building and construction. Food packaging is also a significant market with uses in bottles, food wrap, lids, and blister packaging.
